പ്രണയിക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കരുത്‌ .....

Bird without Wings

I was in a creepy stage , bursting on my own fate.
All it happens when the lime light falls on me.
But when i looked at that tiny bird..
Who is more unlucky, me or this little bird?
Blood is flowing like a river from that little chest..
Hey!! have you given your heart to somebody?
No it is the brutality of this mankind.
See the resemblance of ours!!
Hurting and weeping with blood..
But i saw the courage of my little friend,
It can fly by singing its story.
See the misfortune of mine, I cant sing.
I tried to be like this bird,
But already my wings has been cut by somebody..
Still I cant realize, who is having my wings!!!

നിലാവിന്റെ കൈയോപ്പിനായി...

എന്റെ കവിതയുടെ പതിനാലാം വരി മുറിയുന്നു,
വെട്ടുന്നു, തിരുത്തുന്നു പിന്നെയുമെങ്കിലും
പതിനാലാം വരിമാത്രമിനിയും കിട്ടിയില്ല.
എവിടെ നിന്നോ തപ്പിപ്പിടിച്ച ഒരായിരം
ഗദ്ഗദങ്ങള്‍ പേറി പിന്നെയും പരതി ഞാന്‍ .
പക്ഷേ! പതിനാലാം വരി മാത്രം പിന്നെയും മുറിയുന്നു.
പലവട്ടം പാടിപ്പതിഞ്ഞ ഒരീണം,
പലടവന തേടി അലഞ്ഞ ഒരീണം-
മൂളി ഞാന്‍ തേടി തപിക്കുന്നു വീണ്ടും
എന്റെ കവിതയുടെ പതിനാലാം വരിക്കു മാത്രമായ് .

ഇതെന്റെ രക്തമാം കവിത, എന്റെ മാത്രം,
നിലാവിന്റെ കൈയോപ്പിനായ് ഞാന്‍ -
പ്രത്യേകം കുറിക്കുന്നോരീ വരികള്‍;
തപ്പി തടഞ്ഞീ വരികള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ ഞാന്‍ ,
പതിനാലാം വരിമാത്രമിനിയും കിട്ടിയില്ല.
ഇനിയും വൈകുകില്‍ ഈ നിലാവ് മാഞ്ഞിടും,
മേഘത്തിന്‍ താരാട്ടില്‍ മയങ്ങിതളര്‍ന്നു -
മൂടിപ്പുതച്ചു ഉറക്കം തുടങ്ങീടും.
ഞാനോ ഈ നിശ തന്‍ ചിറകില്‍ മയങ്ങണം, ഏകനായി.

നിശ തന്‍ താരാട്ട് കേള്‍ക്കേണ്ട എനിക്കിനി
അതില്‍ നിറയും കര്‍ണ കട്റൊരമാം ഈണങ്ങള്‍
ഭയന്നല്ലോ ഞാന്‍ ഈ നിലാവിന്‍ കൂട്ട് തേടുന്നു;
ഈ നിലാവില്‍ അലിയുവാന്‍ കൊതിക്കുന്നു.
കഴിയില്ല ഈ നിലവിനെന്നെ തനിച്ചാക്കാന്‍ ,
മേഘങ്ങള്‍ തല്ലി തകര്‍ത്തു ഉണരുമെനിക്കായി.
തേടി നോക്കട്ടെ ഞ്ണന്‍ ആ മേഘതുണ്ടുകള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍
എന്റെ കവിതയുടെ പതിനാലാം വരിയും.

Forgotten Floods

In late 2007, over 50 million people were affected by South Asia’s worst floods in living memory. An area the size of Britain was flooded and thousands died. Inexplicably, this vast natural tragedy was little covered in the British and world media.

In partnership with Channel 4 and Action Aid, Native Voice travelled to South Asia to make 4 short films. These films relate first hand, poignant personal experiences by 4 floods survivors. A midwife, a child, a mother and a man from the lowest caste re-live their interior feelings, emotions and experiences as the waters engulfed them, their villages and their land. These are the floods in the words of those who survived.

A MOTHER A mother reveals her feelings after looking after her baby in the midst of the floods. “Around 2 am we escaped our house, somehow we swam through the floods and reached the road we lived there under plastic sheets for up to one and half months being in the road is scary for a woman and the rain continues what else can I tell you ? we have lost our livelihood where will I go with my little child…?”

A CHILD. Thoughts from a child to his younger brother about his feelings and experiences as the waters swept over them.
“My dear little brother, I will never forget the night when you were drowning. It rained for 10-15 days, it never stopped. Our house was flooded with water and reached my neck.I saw you going under water. I screamed your name. We pressed your stomach to save you and brought you to hospital. We slept outside, starving. Nobody cared for us
in hospital…”


A MIDWIFE. A letter from a midwife to a child born during the floods.
“Dear Child, you were born during the floods, we were unable to send a message to anyone, there wasn’t any way of communication.When your mother felt the pangs, your father came at 1am in the night. I covered the distance of 3 kilometers on the raft to serve you and your mother at midnight. I had to bring you into this world…”

A Dahlit. Thoughts from a man from the lowest caste in India about the desperation of his forgotten community during the floods.
“We are the most deprived people from the lowest caste. Our district is located below river levels. If it rains for a few days our area becomes flooded. It was on Indipendence Day. As we raised the flag in the village, the waters came. We built a raft made with tree trunks and went in search of food…”

As a Little Rain Drop....

After a long time, I had a Dream;
A dream, in which I can fly,
I can kiss the snowy sky
and I can feel the fragrance of breeze.

But; What a misfortune of mine!!!
I woke up from my dreams-
By the gentle touch of tiny Rain drops.
I loved raining all the time But this time?, What i will do?
I can't break the friendship of ours I can't never ensnare him.
I would like to have another dream with them,
By enjoying their gentle touch.
I love these rain drops a lot
I felt these rain drops are my-
Loving mother's tears,who loved me a lot
Now I'm alone here..
I can feel my mother's loving kiss,
By the touch of these rain drops.
And i dissolved in these rain drops,
As another little rain drop..

ചില്ല് ജാലകത്തിനപ്പുറം (Poem Composed on April 2008 )

ഒരു നേര്‍ത്ത നാദം കേട്ടു ഞാന്‍ എന്‍
ജാലക വാതില്‍ക്കല്‍ വന്നെത്തി നോക്കി
ചില്ലുടന്ജോരീ ജാലകത്തിന്‍ പടിയില്‍
എന്നോര്മകള്‍ ചിതറിക്കിടപ്പൂ...
മൌനവും പേറി നില്‍ക്കുന്നൊരീ മേഘത്തിന്‍
ഗദ്ഗദമെന്തെ എന്റെ കാതില്‍?
നേര്‍ത്തൊരു മര്മരമായ് ഇന്നെനിക്കുള്ളില്‍
വിശിയടിചോരീ കടല്‍ക്കാറ്റും,
എന്തെ ഇന്നൊരു തേങ്ങലിന്‍ മുഖപടം
അണിഞെന്റെ ജാലക വാതില്‍ക്കല്‍-
വന്നെത്തി നോക്കി മറഞ്ഞിടുന്നു ?
എന്തോ പറയുവാനാശിച്ചപോലെന്‍
ജാലകമൊന്നു തുറന്നടഞ്ഞു,
എന്തെ ഇന്നെന്തേ ഓര്‍മ തന്‍ വീണ
താനെ നാദമുതിര്ത്തിടുന്നു?
ഒരു നൂറു സ്വപ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ ചിറകുകള്‍ വച്ചീ
ചെമ്മാനത് ഓടി നടപ്പൂ ..
ഇന്നെന്റെ പാട്ടിനു പല്ലവിയായൊരു
മരുപാട്ടെന്തേ എന്റെ കാതില്‍ ?.
വീണ്ടുമെന്‍ ജാലകവതില്‍ക്കല്‍ വന്നു-
ഞാന്‍ എന്തിനോ എത്തി നോക്കി..
അവിടെ ഞാന്‍ കണ്ടൊരാ ശൂന്യതയ്ക്കും ഈ
സന്ധ്യംബരത്തിന്‍ നേര്‍ത്ത ഛവി.
ഓര്‍മ്മതന്‍ ചെപ്പിലീ ശൂന്യതയും പേറി
ഞാന്‍ എന്‍ ജാലകപ്പടിയില്‍ നിന്നു പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു.
വീണ്ടുമെന്തോ പരയുവാനെന്നപോല്‍
ചില്ല് ജാലകം തുറന്നടഞ്ഞു..
ഞാന്‍ എന്‍ ഓര്‍മ്മകളെ ഭയന്നിട്ടെന്നപോല്‍
ജാലകപ്പടിയില്‍ നിന്നോടിയോളിപ്പൂ,
എന്നോര്‍മ്മകളില്‍ നിന്നോടിയോളിപ്പൂ..

Let us work for Human Rights

Have you ever thought of our mankind, the people who are living in your society.. Are you sure that, all of them are happy with their life?.. All are having the same rights to live a happy and peaceful life.. So why can't we work for Human Rights?

This same thought forced me to post some information regarding Human Rights Protection Force of India.
